Communication and Branding Specialist

Job Description
To maintain a positive image of URC through communication and branding for local and regional affiliates and subsidiaries. Organizes internal and external events and promotes products or services, all while maintaining relationships with external vendors for sponsorships and public / CSR events.
Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing
  • Written and Spoken Arabic and English is essential
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively3 -5 years experience in public relations and advertising
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of public relations programs
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations and advertising campaigns
Responsibilities
  • Assists the line manager in planning and executing communication plans that include all annual events, CSR, and long-term sponsorship alignments that will translate into building the URC brand image.
  • Supports content when and if there is a need. Writes pitches, case studies, and documents pre- during - and post-events that occur within the organization to help enhance our activities and approach.
  • Assists and works with the subsidiaries' marketing departments and advises them on their annual plan so it can be incorporated into the annual corporate communication calendar.
  • Builds ongoing relationships through MOU’s with other corporate organizations to enhance our B2B and B2C targets following our Corporate strategy.
  • Executes internal and external events in a timely and professional manner that will add value to the overall organization’s targets and plan.
  • Supports all internal events through a clear events brief provided by the requesting department.
  • Ensures all communication is cohesive with the brand image locally and regionally.
  • Tracks, assesses, and analyses international media coverage and builds a credibility report with the support of the media relations team.
  • Builds, develops and measures CSR programs that impact the URC Corporate brand. This also includes the sustainability reports.
  • Guides and tracks marketing programs that are conducted by our regional offices and our subsidiaries.
  • Develops and supervises their annual calendar of events in addition to assessing the ROI of these events.
  • Analyses and reports on the performance and efficiency of campaigns (internally and externally) with enhancing YOY basis our capabilities and ideas.
  • Supports the line manager in developing and monitoring strategic CSR, and event initiatives.
  • Ensures all events and sponsorships decisions follow and support the URC brand image.Supports the market research unit, when and if needed, through surveys and market trends to identify new communication opportunities.
  • Supports and follows up with the design unit on all jobs that are within the pipeline to ensure internal and external brand alignment.
  • Works with external agencies and vendors to execute advertising and branding corporate programs. This also includes supporting other units in developing bilingual content if needed.
  • Works on the updating and enhancing the marketing department monthly report/ newsletter and develops it with the team.
