Infrastructure Management:
- Works towards providing support for escalated troubleshooting requirements.
- Performs necessary systems maintenance in accordance with industry best practices and URC’s policies and procedures.
- Automates routine procedures, maintains servers and creates monitoring reports and logs.
- Administers web servers and ensures appropriate server backup and security measures for smooth operations and business continuity.
- Provides technology support to onboard new colleagues by activating shared network drives and printers, providing requisite access and training sessions etc.
Contributes towards Optimal Efficiency of IT Infrastructure:
- Maintains an understanding of new and emerging technologies and suggests solutions to ensure optimal use of IT infrastructure.
- Evaluates and suggests new products/solutions to increase efficiency and performance.
- Ensures low downtime for networks and related services.
- Tests and evaluates new technologies before deployment.
- Conducts performance analysis on existing systems and utilizes the results to tune systems accordingly.
- Performs other responsibilities and tasks as required or as directed by management from time to time.
System Compliance:
- Monitors and maintains compliance with hardware maintenance agreements.
- Ensures that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security, compliance, and access policies.
- Participates and provides inputs towards implementation of various hardware policies and procedure/support along with its maintenance.
Self-Management:
- Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role.
- Sets performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the Line Manager and ensures that the goals are achieved throughout the year.
- Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the Line Manger to ensure that the required training is arranged and attended.
