The conference welcomed broad participation from representatives of government bodies, private sector companies, and a distinguished group of leaders and experts in investment, real estate development, and infrastructure. Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors and advancing strategic partnerships to drive economic growth and national development.

Key topics surrounding partnership projects were addressed, with various proposals and solutions introduced to reinforce government initiatives and encourage deeper private sector involvement in delivering key national projects.

In his opening speech, Mr. Mazen Hawwa, Vice Chairman and Group CEO, stated: “Our sponsorship of this event reflects our belief in the importance of fostering continuous dialogue between the public and private sectors. We must continue creating platforms for collaboration that contribute to shaping a more prosperous future for Kuwait.”

Mr. Hawwa also commended the government’s initiative to involve the private sector in tackling serious national challenges, particularly within the housing sector, and enhancing community well-being. He added, “This represents a national responsibility that we proudly embrace, as we remain committed to playing an active role in Kuwait’s comprehensive development journey.”

During the panel discussions, Mr. Hawwa outlined URC’s approach to private sector engagement in achieving sustainable development objectives. He also highlighted the key criteria the company prioritizes when participating in PPP opportunities, including economic and social value, sustainability, operational excellence, and delivering added value to stakeholders.

URC’s sponsorship of this conference reaffirms its dedication to supporting the national development agenda and strengthening collaboration with the public sector through the delivery of strategic, future-focused projects. The event also received sponsorship from several other leading private sector companies.

The conference forms part of Kuwait’s broader efforts to cultivate a dynamic, investment-friendly environment and deepen institutional partnerships, in alignment with the country’s vision for a diversified and sustainable economy that meets the demands of the future.
